Where can I buy Jinta sports gear?

I have only received part of my order, where is the rest of my items?

Etiko ships the majority of orders from our warehouse in Truganina Victoria. On occasion, we may find that we do not have all the stock at our warehouse. As much as possible, we aim to advise customers of this in these circumstances via email. If you have not received an email from us, and have not received all of your items, please contact us.

My order hasn't been delivered. How can I get my parcel?

Etiko uses a number of courier services for delivering orders to customers including: Star Track, Australia Post, Couriers Please, Fastway, TNT and DHL. When your parcel is booked with the courier, you should receive an email from Star Track, Shippit or an Etiko customer service officer, advising you of your tracking number. You will also receive updates as your delivery progresses.

If a courier cannot deliver to your address, they are required to leave a card advising of attempted delivery. This card will provide instructions for where you parcel has been redirected, and how you can collect it.

If you experience issues with collecting your parcel, or you have not received a delivery card, please contact us as soon as possible. We can raise a complaint with the courier company directly, as well as organise another parcel to be sent to your address in the rare instance of a parcel going missing or at a location that you cannot reach.

Do you ship internationally?

Etiko can ship to any address in the world. When you place an order, shipping will be calculated at the checkout depending on the items you have selected and the country for delivery. The prices on our website are based on AUD including GST (Goods and Services Tax). GST is only payable by Australian customers – this will be removed from your order at checkout.

Please note that for orders made outside Australia, we may request manual verification of your order (i.e. a screenshot of your bank statement). This is to ensure that your order is a valid one, and to help us reduce fraudulent orders through our website.

The item I want appears to be out of stock. When will you be getting more of this item in, and how can I order it?

Etiko products may sometimes be out of stock due to high volume demands, delays in orders from our suppliers or natural disasters affecting the regions from where our products are sourced. As much as possible we try to advise our customers of these shortages via our email newsletter and social media.

We may also be out of stock of certain items when we are no longer producing that product. These items will usually be advertised in our sale sections online and in store.

When we are aware that an item is out of stock, we offer pre-order so that you can order your item in advance of our supply arriving in Australia.

If an item you wish to purchase is out of stock and is not available for sale or pre-order, please contact us and let us know.

Can I exchange or refund my item(s)? How do I do that?

If you find that you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, you may return your items for a full refund or exchange. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions policy

We do strongly advise that you check the size charts and any measurements for your products before ordering, to avoid receiving a garment/pair of shoes that do not fit.

What size shoe am I? (Women)

Our shoes are actually unisex, and we go by UK sizing. If you are an Australian ladies size 8, we would generally recommend a UK size 6 (it's approximately two sizes smaller than Australian sizing).

For further fit information, you can refer to our measurement chart here

What size shoe am I? (Men)

We go by UK sizing, which is equivalent to Australian mens sizing, or one size smaller than US sizing. If you are a US size 12, we would generally recommend a UK 11.

For further fit information, you can refer to our measurement chart here

Are your shoes narrow or wide fit?

Etiko shoes by design have a narrow sole. However, as the upper is made from organic cotton canvas, they do have quite a bit of give, and will stretch to the shape of your foot with wear. You can also take the sneakers to a shoe repair shop, where they can stretch the shoes for you. All the measurements for our sneakers are available on our size and fit guide here

Why do your shoes only come in sizes UK3 – UK13?

As a small brand, we don't currently have the resources to provide a larger size range of shoes. We find that the most popular sizes ordered are in the mid range between size UK5 and UK8 for women, and size UK8 and UK11 for men.

What are my sneakers made of?

Our sneakers are made from cotton canvas which has been certified Organic (GOTS) and Fair Trade (FLO). They have a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified natural rubber latex sole. Our shoes are also REACH compliant, meaning that they are free from harmful chemicals.

We are currently conducting testing on our sneakers to check their biodegradability, theoretically they should be fully compostable except for the plastic on the ends of the laces.

You can find out more about our sneakers in the product description.

How do I clean and care for my sneakers?

Note that our sneakers, shoes and thongs are intended for casual wear, and are not built to withstand heavy duty wear and tear such as hiking, building/industrial job sites or sporting activities. To clean your shoes:

  • Test the cleaning process on a section of the shoe which is not visible such as the inside of the tongue or sole. This is to ensure that the cleaning product used does not affect the colour or material
  • Cotton Canvas: using a damp cloth, rub gently with lukewarm water and a mild soap or detergent. Do not machine wash or dry.
  • Rubber: using a cloth, rub gently with lukewarm water and a mild soap or detergent. Alternatively, you could use a leather spray – we recommend spraying the cleaning cloth, not the rubber as it may also touch the canvas and cause discolouration. Do not machine wash or dry.
  • Dry at room temperature, stuff with tissue paper to help maintain their shape. Do not tumble dry or place close to heat source such as a hair dryer, hand dryer or heater.
How long do Etiko shoes last?

Generally we would expect a pair of Etiko vegan sneakers to last approximately a year – of course this will vary from person to person, depending on how often and how vigorously they wear their shoes.

If you find that you have had issues with your shoes in a shorter time frame, please contact us via email including a picture of your shoes and the damage, as well as the undersole of the shoe, so we can determine which batch it was from, and determine the best way forward.

Note that our black sneakers , shoes and thongs are intended for casual wear, and are not built to withstand heavy duty wear and tear such as hiking, building/industrial job sites or sporting activities.

How can I dispose of my shoes responsibly?

At Etiko, we are concerned with the full life cycle of our products. We are currently working on a project with RMIT to check our sneakers biodegradability. Theoretically, everything in the sneakers should break down… the natural rubber latex sole should break down as well as the organic canvas, and the metal eyelets should rust. The only part that won’t break down are the plastic tips at the end of the laces.

We encourage our customers to try composting them, if you’d like to have a go at that. We’re also open to other ideas for recycling our shoes, if you hear of anything, please let us know.

Etiko has partnered with Save Our Soles to create a Take Back program for our sneakers and thongs. Return your old shoes to us to be upcycled into floor mats, and get a discount on your next order. You can read more about the program here.

What are my thongs/flip flops made of?

Our thongs are made from a blend of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified natural and recycled rubber. They are fully compostable and should decompose in your compost.

What size underwear am I? (women)

Our new range of women’s organic underwear (full brief, bikini & boyleg) are based on waist measurements. We are expanding our size range to better reflect the average Australian woman’s sizing, and to make our sizing standard across all styles. Our new range will be available in sizes 10 to 20.

You can find more information at our size and fit guide here

What size underwear am I? (men)

Our range of men’s underwear (trunks) are based on waist measurements, as they sit on that part of the body. They do stretch quite a bit (approximately 5cm) so just be aware of that when you order. Our current range is available in sizes S to XL.

We will be expanding our range of men’s underwear in the future.

You can find out more information at our size and fit guide here

What is my underwear made of?

Our underwear is made from 95% organic cotton, and 5% elastane for stretch, fit and comfort.

Elastane is unfortunately not biodegradable. We are currently looking into alternatives for this material, however it may be some years away in production, as this is a relatively new field for fabric manufacturers.

My sports ball deflates quickly. Why does this happen?

The bladder of the ball is made from natural rubber latex which breathes, so a small amount of deflation will occur, and the ball will need to be reinflated every couple of weeks depending on the frequency of usage.

We do advise that you use a lubricant such as Vaseline or silicon on the needle with your pump and insert the needle slowly into the valve to avoid puncturing the bladder. If you believe you have received a faulty ball, please contact us.
